Bartonella quintana

Hi, you can call me B. quintana.
I'm a Gram Negative bacteria.

I travel from person to person on body lice.
The lice spread me around places where there are lots of people close together without proper hygeine.

When I get into you, I cause trench fever.
There were many lice (and me!) in World War I and World War II.
I cause fever, chills, headache, rash and vertigo (dizziness).
I also give you a swollen liver, plus joint and muscle pain.

I've made a link from my blog (estudiantes-de-la-plata.blogspot.com, a soccer blog from Argentina) to this page, in order to compare our historical rivals (the pathetic team of "gimnasia y esgrima la plata") with your simpathetical microbes.
Please, can you create a new bacteria, called "tripera inmnundicii", dressed in blue and white? (the gimnasia's team jersey is blue-white-blue, in horizontals sectors)

Uh oh. If "The lice spread me around places where there are lots of people close together without proper hygeine" then that's like a perfect description of one of my church sleepovers. Thanks for the warning.

I live in the Detroit metro area. Michigan has serious economic issues and only when the people pull together can the problems be overcome. It’s going to take everyone not just democrat or republican. A great place to find out about local Detroit news is GROW DETROIT

I love your blog. When I was a teacher in Peru I used your blog to motivated my students, and show them that Science can be fun.
Please, could you make a Bartonella bacilliforms? It's my favorite pathogen. Thanks!!
